“Rundweg” shows cyclical rides around the forensic and psychiatric departments of LVR Clinic in Bedburg-Hau, where people fell victim to forced sterilizations and “euthanasia” murders during the Nazi era. Long suppressed in the collective memory of German society, this circular journey serves as a reminder of the structure of memory itself: a cyclical process, a repetition, that encourages continuous engagement with the historical past. The projection on the wall, positioned between two windows, connects the interior with the outside world, casting light onto the windows that face the LVR grounds. In doing so, the space becomes linked with its surroundings, allowing both the projected image and the visible site to be perceived.
